Predict.fun, a BNB Chain-based prediction market platform founded by Binance's Changpeng Zhao, has completed a strategic acquisition of Probable, an on-chain prediction market incubated by PancakeSwap and YZi Labs. The deal, announced on March 4, 2026, aims to consolidate liquidity and talent within the BNB Chain ecosystem.
Since its launch in late 2025, Predict.fun has reported significant traction with $1.5 billion in cumulative trading volume, over 120,000 users, and more than 3.3 million transactions. The acquisition integrates Probable's team and technology into Predict.fun's organization, with the goal of improving market architecture, execution efficiency, and capital utilization. A key focus is increasing liquidity concentration on a single venue to reduce fragmentation.
Changpeng Zhao publicly endorsed the move, stating on social media, "Good to see two strong project combing forces," framing it as a positive consolidation. The combined platform plans to accelerate upgrades to how odds are quoted, orders are matched, and capital is reused across markets. Predict.fun also intends to develop a multi-source yield engine to route returns across different DeFi venues.
For existing Probable users, a guided migration process is planned. The transition includes a reward structure: all USDT trading fees paid on Probable will be reimbursed at 2x value, and Probable Points will convert to Predict Points at a 1:2 ratio. Predict.fun expects Probable's presence in key Asian markets to strengthen its distribution and community onboarding.
The acquisition occurs amidst a broader trend of consolidation in on-chain prediction markets, as projects seek to overcome challenges like thin liquidity and high user-acquisition costs. It also coincides with increased regulatory scrutiny of prediction markets globally.
