Encrypt, a new infrastructure project, is set to integrate Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) into the Solana blockchain, aiming to create a new paradigm of "Encrypted Capital Markets." The announcement, made on March 31st, 2026, from Grand Cayman, positions this technological integration as a solution to the long-standing privacy limitations of public blockchains.
The core innovation is the introduction of FHE to the Solana Virtual Machine. This cryptographic primitive allows computations to be performed directly on encrypted data without the need for decryption. In practice, this means sensitive financial data—such as balances, trading positions, and orders—can remain private while application logic is executed on-chain. This addresses a critical barrier for institutional adoption, where revealing every move on a public ledger has been a significant deterrent.
"Solana already has the performance, developer energy, and market structure to become the home of the next generation of onchain finance," said Dolev Mutzari, Co-Founder of Encrypt. "Encrypt adds a missing primitive: the ability to build applications that keep sensitive data encrypted while still running on a public blockchain. That is what Encrypted Capital Markets means."
The platform is designed as a developer tool, enabling teams to write encrypted Solana programs where confidentiality is a native feature, not an add-on. This opens the door to new use cases previously impractical on transparent ledgers, including confidential trading venues, lending markets with private collateral, sealed-bid auctions, and private prediction markets. The goal is to maintain Solana's hallmark composability and high performance while adding a layer of privacy.
David Lachmish, Co-Founder of Encrypt, highlighted the significance: "The next frontier is cryptographic guarantees for private state on a public blockchain, and Encrypt brings FHE to Solana to make confidentiality a native building block for composable applications."
The project has a clear rollout timeline: it will be live on the Solana devnet in early Q2 of 2026, with a mainnet launch scheduled for later in the same year. Encrypt is built by the team behind Ika and will utilize Ika as part of its infrastructure on Solana.
