The decentralized prediction market sector continues to expand with the official launch of Premu, a new platform introducing permissionless market creation and up to 2.5x leverage for event-based trading. The Stockholm-based project enters a competitive landscape that already includes established players like Polymarket, Kalshi, and the rapidly growing Predict.fun on BNB Chain.
Premu distinguishes itself by allowing users to create their own markets on-chain, moving away from centralized curation. This community-driven model aims to let markets form organically around breaking news, evolving narratives, and trader demand. In addition, the platform supports leveraged positions, enabling traders to amplify exposure to outcomes in categories such as cryptocurrency, politics, sports, economics, and artificial intelligence.
"Prediction markets are evolving rapidly, and users increasingly expect greater flexibility in how markets are created and traded," said Chadi F, CTO at Premu. "Our goal is to provide infrastructure that enables community-driven market creation while introducing additional capital-efficiency tools for event traders."
The launch comes as the prediction market industry witnesses surging volumes and institutional interest. Predict.fun, backed by YZi Labs (Binance Labs), has processed over $1.7 billion in trading volume since its late 2025 debut. Unlike traditional platforms where collateral sits idle, Predict.fun integrates with DeFi protocols like Venus to generate yield on deposits while positions remain open. This capital-efficient model, combined with a recent integration into Trust Wallet and acquisition of Probable, has cemented its position on BNB Chain.
While Premu emphasizes permissionless creation and leverage, Predict.fun focuses on yield-bearing collateral and mobile-first accessibility. Both projects reflect a broader trend toward decentralized infrastructure that merges speculative trading with DeFi utility. Industry observers note that the sector's growth is fueling discussions around regulatory approaches, no-KYC trading, and the search for Polymarket alternatives.
Premu's platform is accessible globally via its web application, and the team believes that user-created markets and capital-efficient trading tools will shape the next phase of prediction market innovation. As the ecosystem matures, competition among protocols is likely to drive further experimentation in market design and community participation.
