Cryptocurrency exchange BitMart has announced it will cease all operations, marking the second exchange shutdown in under a week. The decision, disclosed on July 26, follows a review of operating conditions, market environment, and future strategy.
Trading services will end on August 26, 2026, with the platform fully closing on January 31, 2027, at 15:59 UTC. Starting immediately, new registrations, deposits, and trading orders are suspended, and futures accounts switch to reduce-only mode. All automated services, including copy and grid trading, will be phased out.
Users are urged to close positions, complete identity verification, redeem Earn and staking products, and withdraw assets as early as possible. Withdrawal services will remain available throughout the wind-down, though certain requests may undergo compliance reviews. BitMart also warned of potential scams during this period, emphasizing it will never request private keys, passwords, or expedited fees through unofficial channels.
The back-to-back closures have renewed concerns about exchange viability and the security of user funds, prompting calls for vigilance and timely action.
