Ethereum could be on the verge of a historic rally, according to two well-known crypto analysts who have recently turned extremely bullish on the second-largest cryptocurrency. Pseudonymous trader CrediBULL Crypto has doubled down on his $20,000 price target for ETH, while Doctor Profit has disclosed a major portfolio shift, now holding more Ethereum than Bitcoin for the first time in his trading career.
CrediBULL Crypto first set the $20K target three weeks ago when ETH was trading near $1,500. He bases his outlook on multi-year chart structures, noting that Ethereum is completing a long-term base against Bitcoin after roughly four years of decline. The analyst sees the ETH/BTC pair finally entering an accumulation zone, which he believes will precede an impulsive move higher. On the ETH/USD chart, he argues that Ethereum has finished the first leg of a larger five-wave structure and is holding above a key invalidation level near $1,385. As long as that support remains intact, he expects a wave to push ETH to about $10,000, followed by a later wave carrying it above $20,000.
CrediBULL also drew parallels to April of last year, when Ethereum was written off near similar price levels only to break its all-time high months later. He says the current setup looks similar, with the price holding above its last low rather than breaking it, signaling that the broader uptrend remains intact. Some traders, like Cheds Trading, dismissed the call as unrealistic, but others, including Sykodelik, pointed out that $10,000 is only about twice Ethereum’s previous peak.
Adding to the bullish chorus, Doctor Profit—a reputed analyst who had been bearish on Bitcoin’s downside—recently revealed that he has increased his ETH holdings to 60% of his ETH/BTC portfolio. In previous cycles, ETH represented only about 10% of that portfolio, but he has now made his largest Ethereum bet ever, citing confidence in a coming price surge. Doctor Profit sees $4,000 ETH as “not far off” and has been accumulating between the $1,800 and $1,900 range. At the time of writing, Ethereum was trading above $1,900, having gained roughly 24% over the past month, though it remains 60% below its all-time high. Other on-chain signals, such as bullish MVRV crossovers and rising funding rates on Binance, have also been flagged by analysts as early signs of a sentiment shift.
