OSL Group has launched retail XRP trading on its Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)-licensed platform in Hong Kong, becoming the first regulated exchange in the city to offer the token to everyday investors. The retail listing went live on July 29, 2026 through OSL Digital Securities, the company's licensed subsidiary.
Retail investors can now trade XRP against both USD and HKD via the OSL HK platform. The launch includes Flash Trade XRP/USD and over-the-counter pairs for XRP/USD and XRP/HKD. Deposits and withdrawals are supported directly through the XRP Ledger, providing a fiat on-ramp for Hong Kong residents on a fully regulated venue.
The move extends XRP access beyond the professional investor segment. OSL first offered XRP to professional clients in December 2025 through pairs such as XRP/HKD, XRP/USD, and XRP/USDT. With this retail launch, XRP joins Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana as one of the few tokens available to retail users on the exchange. OSL, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under ticker 863, holds SFC licenses across Type 1, Type 4, Type 7, and Type 9 categories. It secured its initial Type 1 and Type 7 licenses in December 2020 and received approval to serve retail investors in August 2023.
The listing reinforces Hong Kong's regulated digital-asset framework, which has been gradually expanding the menu of tokens permitted for retail trading since 2023. The addition of a regulated XRP on-ramp also mirrors broader momentum across Asia, where jurisdictions are building supervised access to digital assets. XRP has seen growing interest from both institutional and retail markets this year, with spot XRP ETFs recording an eight-week inflow streak totaling $1.49 billion, while activity on the XRP Ledger has surged through tokenized real-world assets rising from about $150 million a year ago to over $4 billion, according to Evernorth data.
