Japan-listed Quantum Solutions has sold another 1,000 ether (ETH) for approximately $1.9 million, further reducing its cryptocurrency holdings to fund artificial intelligence infrastructure expansion. The transaction, executed through its subsidiary GPT Pals Studio, saw ETH sold at an average price of $1,903 per token, according to a company filing. Quantum Solutions expects to recognize a loss of around $100,000 on the sale.
This latest divestment brings the company's total ETH sold to 1,904 ETH in under two months, marking a nearly 29% reduction from the 6,668.8 ETH it held before the sales began. As a result, Quantum Solutions has ceded its position as Japan's largest corporate ether treasury. Its remaining holdings of approximately 4,765 ETH trail Def consulting, which now holds around 4,976 ETH among publicly traded Japanese companies.
The company accumulated the bulk of its ether during the fourth quarter of 2025, when ETH traded between roughly $4,000 and $4,500. With ETH currently trading near $1,925, the value of Quantum's remaining holdings is estimated at about $9.2 million. Proceeds from the sales are earmarked to support AI infrastructure and data center operations, including GPU equipment and data center agreements.
Quantum Solutions has also expanded the amount of ETH authorized for potential sale from 1,875 ETH to 4,375 ETH. This means it could sell up to another 2,471 ETH through October 30. However, 3,050 ETH of its remaining holdings are pledged as collateral to a Singapore-based lender, while 1,714.8 ETH sit in GPT Pals' trading account. The sale authorization thus exceeds the unpledged holdings by over 750 ether, potentially requiring the company to release collateral or acquire additional ETH to meet the full authorized amount.
