Grayscale completed its second-quarter 2026 fund rebalancing, making significant changes to its DeFi, Smart Contract, and Decentralized AI funds. The most notable move was the first-time addition of BNB to the Smart Contract Fund, where it now commands a dominant weighting of approximately 30.6%, slightly surpassing Ethereum (ETH) at 29.47% and Solana (SOL) at 29.15%.
In the DeFi Fund, Uniswap (UNI) remains the largest asset at 34.16%, followed by Ondo Finance (ONDO) at 25.44%, Aave (AAVE) at 19.97%, Ethena (ENA) at 12.19%, Curve DAO (CRV) at 4.42%, and Lido DAO (LDO) at 3.82%. The Decentralized AI Fund saw a reduction in NEAR Protocol to 31% and an increase in Bittensor (TAO) to 29%.
The inclusion of BNB signals growing institutional confidence in the BNB Chain ecosystem, extending interest beyond traditional smart contract platforms like Ethereum and Solana. Analysts note that such rebalancing reflects shifts in market capitalization, liquidity, and project fundamentals. However, allocations may be adjusted again based on future market conditions.
