Binance has launched a four-week extension of its Ripple USD (RLUSD) rewards program, raising the total prize pool to 1 million XRP tokens. The new campaign began at 00:00 UTC on August 14 and runs through September 11, according to the exchange’s updated announcement. It follows an earlier RLUSD campaign that ended August 14 and offered $800,000 worth of XRP in weekly distributions beginning July 17.
Eligibility rules remain largely unchanged. Users must hold at least 0.01 RLUSD in eligible Earn or Margin accounts and maintain at least $500 in average daily Margin or Futures trading volume on any supported pair where RLUSD is used as collateral. Binance calculates qualifying balances using hourly snapshots and takes the lowest RLUSD balance observed each day. RLUSD created by borrowing stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, U, USD1 or FDUSD receives a 60% haircut, while RLUSD recorded as a borrowing liability is excluded.
Rewards will be paid every Friday in four installments on August 21, August 28, September 4 and September 11. Binance will set the effective annualized percentage rate and XRP valuation for each weekly period at distribution time. The prior campaign’s APR moved from 22.25% in the first week to 8.22%, 8.08% and 7.69% in later weeks.
The promotion is not available globally. Binance’s exclusion list includes the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and several European Economic Area jurisdictions, and participants must complete KYC. The exchange also notes that unauthorized stablecoins face restrictions for EEA users under MiCA.
Binance listed RLUSD and XRP-linked trading pairs in January. Ripple’s latest transparency data shows $1.5896 billion of RLUSD in circulation against $1.7026 billion in reserve funds as of August 6. The campaign coincides with increased on-chain activity on the XRP Ledger, which recorded 49,929 active addresses in a single 24-hour period, a two-month high.
