BitMine Immersion Technologies’ stock climbed to $20.85, its highest level since May 15, up from a year-to-date low of $12.54, as Ethereum rebounded above the crucial $2,000 resistance and ultimately traded near $2,330, a level last seen on May 11. The move marked a roughly 50% recovery from Ethereum’s yearly low and was supported by a sharp improvement in risk appetite: the Crypto Fear and Greed Index rose from extreme fear at 17 to a neutral 52.
Spot Ethereum ETF inflows accelerated alongside the rally. Funds pulled in $189 million on Wednesday, up from $71 million on Tuesday and $30 million the day before. Monthly inflows reached $534 million, compared with $365 million in the prior month, while cumulative inflows surpassed $11.75 billion and total net assets stood at $12 billion.
BitMine holds approximately 5.815 million ETH, equal to nearly 4.8% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. CryptoQuant analyst Maartunn estimated the 20% rally lifted that position from about $11 billion to $13.2 billion, a one-day increase of $2.2 billion. Still, DropsTab data shows BitMine’s total cost basis is about $19.49 billion, with an average acquisition price near $3,357.63 per ETH, leaving an unrealized loss of roughly $6.09 billion, or about 31.25% of invested capital. The company has staked about 87% of its holdings, generating roughly $250 million in annual staking income.
BitMine Chairman Tom Lee said Ethereum’s breakout against Bitcoin above 0.02994 signals growing institutional recognition of ETH as programmable financial infrastructure. He argued Ethereum could support AI agents, robotics, automated transactions and decentralized applications at scale. The company recently bought 37,696 ETH in 30 days and needs roughly 185,000 more to reach its 5% accumulation target, which management views as an inflection point toward free cash flow, dividends, buybacks and strategic investments. Technical analysts noted BMNR is in an ascending channel, has cleared resistance near $17.50 and its 50-day moving average, and may target $25 if the uptrend continues.
