Circle’s USDC stablecoin has reached a notable 30-day high in decentralized exchange trading volume, with daily activity climbing to approximately $2.8 billion on DEXs. Over the past 30 days, total USDC trading volume on decentralized exchanges rose to $29.1 billion, a 166.7% increase compared with the prior month, according to data highlighted by crypto commentator @tokenterminal.
Uniswap has been the dominant venue for this activity. Uniswap V3 and V4 together accounted for $16 billion, or about 55% of the total 30-day USDC DEX volume. Uniswap also said it processed more USDC volume than all other decentralized exchanges combined, underscoring its central role in stablecoin liquidity.
The surge comes amid a broader crypto market showing mixed signals. Traders appear to be increasingly turning to USDC for liquidity and trading efficiency, especially as decentralized finance continues to evolve. Additional signals point to rising institutional or whale interest: the USDC Treasury recently minted 250 million USDC to bolster market liquidity, and observers note that large wallets may be positioning for potential market movements.
Circle, the issuer of USDC, operates as a technology company focused on enabling secure cryptocurrency transactions. The regulatory environment around stablecoins and DeFi has drawn increased scrutiny, making the growth in USDC trading particularly significant for the broader crypto ecosystem. As a stablecoin, USDC serves as a key liquidity tool for traders and investors during volatile periods.
Traders are now watching whether Uniswap’s USDC volume momentum continues. Sustained growth could reinforce stablecoin adoption and attract more participants seeking deep liquidity on decentralized exchanges.
