Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee has issued fresh price predictions for Bitcoin and Ethereum, arguing that Ethereum is currently undervalued relative to Bitcoin. In late August 2026, Lee said that if Bitcoin surpasses $150,000, Ethereum could reach $6,000, describing the target as conservative.
Lee outlined several catalysts that could support Ethereum through the remainder of the year. Chief among them is the potential passage of the CLARITY Act, a proposed comprehensive regulatory framework for the US crypto market. He noted that clearer regulation could encourage institutional investors to enter the market, while pent-up capital could return to crypto assets. Lee also cited increasing capital inflows from Asia and “compensatory purchases” by global institutions aiming to improve quarterly performance.
According to Lee, the ETH/BTC ratio could retest its previous level of 0.08. In a more cautious scenario, even a recovery to 0.04 would create significant upside potential for Ethereum. Longer term, he said Bitcoin still has upside potential, but asset tokenization and AI-powered finance will be key areas determining the crypto market’s direction over the next five years.
Meanwhile, technical analysis shows Ethereum trading near $2,440 after rallying from about $1,900 to above $2,500 in late August. Analysts view $2,550 as the critical breakout level, with $2,800 as the next target. Ethereum ETFs recorded their highest weekly inflows of 2026 for a second consecutive week, and ETH has formed a higher cycle high while Bitcoin has not, suggesting stronger relative momentum.
