Circle and OKX have deepened their collaboration to expand USDC liquidity and trading utility across spot, margin and futures markets, the companies confirmed on Sept. 2, 2026. The new phase builds on an existing relationship that already covers dollar-to-USDC conversions and native USDC support on OKX’s X Layer network.
In an announcement posted on Circle’s official X account, the stablecoin issuer said the partnership supports broader access to USDC-denominated markets. Circle framed trusted dollar stablecoin liquidity as essential trading infrastructure as digital asset markets scale. Specific USDC trading pairs, regional availability and timetables were not disclosed, with access subject to user eligibility.
As part of the expansion, OKX launched a USDC Margin Growth Program on Sept. 1. Qualifying users can earn a monthly 100 USDC cash reward funded by Circle. To qualify, traders must opt in, hold at least 20,000 USDC in an OKX Trading Account for 17 consecutive days during a calendar month, and record more than 1,000 USDC in single-side trading volume across eligible spot, futures or margin USDC pairs. Up to 4,000 users can qualify each month on a first-come, first-served basis, with rewards settled within seven days after each month ends.
The announcement follows earlier integrations. In July 2025, Circle and OKX introduced zero-fee USDC conversions between USDC and the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 rate. In August 2026, Circle brought native USDC and its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol to X Layer, OKX’s Ethereum-compatible layer 2 network. At that time, native USDC was supported across 36 networks, while CCTP connected 26 blockchains. The companies have also adjusted USDC access regionally, including a USDT-to-USDC conversion route in Europe under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework.
USDC circulation stood at $73.3 billion at the end of the second quarter, up 19% year over year. Circle reported $701 million in quarterly revenue and reserve income, with roughly 30% of circulating USDC held on Coinbase’s platform. The OKX partnership is part of Circle’s broader push to integrate USDC across exchanges, wallets, payment applications and other financial platforms.
