XRP recorded its strongest monthly spot trading activity since February, with eight major exchanges together processing about $20.34 billion in August, according to CryptoQuant analyst Arab Chain.
Binance led with approximately $7.28 billion, followed by Upbit at $4.68 billion and Bithumb Korea at $2.59 billion. Bybit, Gate.io, KuCoin, Bitget, and Coinbase also contributed, with monthly volumes of roughly $1.40 billion, $1.33 billion, $1.23 billion, $918.5 million, and $915.4 million respectively. Binance, Upbit, and Bithumb alone accounted for $14.55 billion of the tracked total.
The volume spike came as XRP's price advanced about 8% in a day to near $1.45. Over the past week, XRP traded between $1.31 and $1.48, but the weekly gain was only 1.4%, suggesting the move arrived in a sharp burst. On a monthly basis, XRP is up around 36%, though it remains roughly 49% lower than a year ago and about 60% below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.65.
The broader crypto market also recovered, with Bitcoin clearing $80,000 for the first time in a week after falling toward $76,200 during Middle East tensions. Ether climbed toward $2,500 and BNB pushed above $720.
Analysts noted that higher spot volume improves XRP liquidity and can reduce slippage, but does not by itself confirm bullish momentum. Whether the activity supports a sustained recovery will depend on continued buyer demand, order flow, and whether traders withdraw coins from exchanges rather than depositing them for sale.
