Ethereum has entered a consolidation phase after a sharp recovery from the $1,500 area, trading near $2,485 on September 8 and remaining trapped inside a tight range between $2,391 and $2,514 for 14 consecutive sessions, according to CryptoQuant. The daily chart shows structural improvement: ETH broke out from a prolonged base around $1,900, reclaimed the $2,100 resistance, and pushed almost vertically toward $2,500. Both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages have turned upward, indicating a transition from recovery toward a potentially bullish structure.
Despite the encouraging trend, sellers remain active around $2,400–$2,500. A confirmed daily close above $2,514 could open the path toward the next major resistance near $3,300, while failure to hold above the former breakout area around $2,100 would weaken the structural improvement. On the four-hour chart, ETH is moving sideways within a $2,350–$2,550 band, with the RSI near 51 and the 50- and 100-period simple moving averages clustered near $2,465–$2,466. A break below $2,400 would shift focus toward the $2,250 demand zone.
On-chain data highlights a tightening supply backdrop. Ethereum’s exchange reserves have fallen from more than 21 million ETH in 2025 to approximately 14.9 million ETH. Binance alone recorded about $501 million in net ETH outflows across seven recent readings, including a $187 million net outflow on August 28. The staking rate has climbed to 35.24%, the highest in the reported period, further reducing immediately tradable supply. Meanwhile, whale realized-price levels sit near $2,300, $2,200, and $2,100, leaving ETH above the aggregate cost basis for large holders.
Spot demand, however, has not confirmed a breakout. The Coinbase Premium Index was near negative 0.01, suggesting US-linked buyers were not paying a premium, while Binance funding was mildly positive at 0.01%. Stablecoin inflows to Binance averaged $46.5 million per day over the previous week, but that does not prove direct ETH purchases. Until price closes outside the range with rising spot volume and a positive Coinbase premium, the on-chain supply constraints remain supportive but not decisive.
