On September 8, 2026, global multi-asset trading platform MEXC launched two related initiatives—Trade Wall Street, Without Walls and Opportunity Compass—to capitalize on a growing movement of traditional finance users into crypto-native trading.
MEXC and CoinGecko research found that 74.2% of surveyed users with traditional finance experience have shifted some or all of their traditional asset trading to crypto exchanges. Among the most cited frustrations with legacy brokerages were limited trading hours (58.8%) and high fees (54.7%), while 24/7 access and competitive fees were leading reasons for moving to centralized exchanges.
The campaign breaks traditional market barriers into five walls: Access Wall, Fee Wall, Time Wall, Capital Wall, and Direction Wall. MEXC says its stock ecosystem spans Pre-IPO, IPO, and Post-IPO stages, including Pre-IPO Futures, Pre-IPO Launchpad, IPO Launchpad, IPO Express, RealStocks, Tokenized Stocks, and Stock Futures. Selected products offer 0-fee trading, USDT-based participation, extended or around-the-clock access, and long/short flexibility.
On the education side, Opportunity Compass arrives as trading volumes for traditional financial assets on crypto exchanges reached $1.45 trillion in H1 2026, nearly 10 times the total for all of 2025. MEXC’s survey found 53.7% of crypto users have already invested in stocks, while 43.1% of non-users and 48.3% of former stock product users cited insufficient investment knowledge as a barrier. The five-season, 30-episode program runs from September through December 2026 and partners with xStocks by Payward, Plume, Tether, Pyth, Optimism, CMT Digital, and RootData.
MEXC CEO Vugar Usi Zade said the shift is not only about more assets becoming available, but about how retail users access and trade them: Crypto-native infrastructure gives us an opportunity to rethink many of those constraints and build a market experience that is more open, flexible and responsive to the needs of retail users.
