The Crypto Wealth Report 2026, published by international investment immigration consultancy Henley & Partners, reveals that only 290 individuals worldwide hold at least $100 million in crypto assets. Of these, 151 hold at least $100 million in Bitcoin.
The report, which combines on-chain data, public information and wealth estimation models, puts the global number of crypto millionaires at 135,694. Bitcoin accounts for 92,272 of those millionaires. At the top of the wealth pyramid are 23 crypto billionaires, including 9 Bitcoin billionaires.
As of August 31, 2026, the total cryptocurrency market was estimated at approximately $2.6 trillion, with Bitcoin representing about $1.6 trillion. Bitcoin was trading roughly 38% below its October 2025 peak, though Henley & Partners noted this decline is more limited than previous bear markets, when drawdowns exceeded 75% after the peaks of 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2021.
Despite lower asset values, global adoption has continued to grow: approximately 742 million people now own digital assets, and about 371 million own Bitcoin.
