Binance Research has confirmed that onchain real-world assets (RWA) reached $34.18 billion as of September 15, 2026, marking an 85.2% increase year-to-date. Bonds and money market funds account for $18.29 billion of that total, while tokenized equities expanded 390.4% year-to-date.
The report, highlighted by Wu Blockchain and Token Terminal, notes that only about 0.01% of underlying assets have been tokenized, leaving significant room for growth. Roughly 12% of onchain RWA market value is deployed across liquidity pools and lending markets, deepening ties to decentralized finance.
Token Terminal separately emphasized that established players such as Binance, JP Morgan, and Kraken are leveraging their user bases and revenue streams to accelerate RWA adoption. This institutional momentum could bring more sustainable market dynamics and broaden crypto’s appeal to traditional investors.
