Solana and XRP ETF Inflows Hit New Streaks as Ethereum Bleeds $140M

Key takeaways:

  • Ethereum's $140M outflow divergence signals capital rotation toward Solana, XRP, and Bitcoin ETF narratives.
  • XRP's 10-week ETF inflow streak despite CLARITY Act failure signals sticky institutional demand.
  • Solana's 12-week inflow streak and $115 rejection may invite profit-taking if ETF inflows decelerate.

U.S. spot crypto exchange-traded funds delivered a sharply mixed performance during the latest weekly trading period. Bitcoin, Solana and XRP funds all recorded net inflows, while Ethereum products suffered a substantial $140 million in net redemptions.

According to data tracked by SoSoValue, Solana spot ETFs led the positive side with $13.19 million in weekly net inflows. XRP ETFs followed with $9.56 million, extending their inflow streak to ten consecutive weeks. Bitcoin spot ETFs attracted a more modest $6.21 million.

The XRP fund streak survived a highly eventful week. The spot XRP ETFs began with $11.26 million in inflows on the day before a crucial Senate vote on the CLARITY Act. Although the bill vote failed on Tuesday and the underlying asset slumped by more than 8%, XRP ETFs reported $0.00 in reportable net flows that day rather than outflows. Investors added another $3.50 million on Wednesday despite the Federal Reserve's rate hike. Withdrawals then resumed on Thursday with $5.15 million leaving the products, followed by a very modest $43,700 outflow on Friday. Cumulative total net inflows for XRP ETFs reached a new all-time high of $1.720 billion on Wednesday before easing to about $1.710 billion a day later.

Solana ETFs showed even more persistence. They pulled in just over $11 million on Monday, added another $1.35 million on Tuesday and saw inflows slow to less than $840,000 on Wednesday. Thursday showed $0.00 in reportable flows, and Friday data was not yet available at press time. Unless a highly unusual late withdrawal occurred, Solana ETFs stretched their weekly green streak to 12 weeks, with their last negative weekly period dating back to late June. In the underlying market, SOL rallied to a multi-month peak around $115 during a Friday/Saturday push before being rejected below $110 by Sunday afternoon.

Ethereum was the clear outlier. Spot ETH ETFs recorded $140 million in net outflows, making ETH the only one of the four tracked crypto ETF categories to finish the week in negative territory. The divergence puts Ethereum ETF demand in focus heading into the next trading week, even as flows in crypto investment products remain sensitive to price action, risk sentiment and broader financial conditions.
