Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, announced on September 23, 2026 that its Copy Trading feature now supports TradFi Perpetual Contracts. The update allows Master Traders on Bybit Copy Trading Classic to take positions in assets including Tesla, Apple, and NVIDIA alongside standard crypto pairs, while followers can automatically replicate those positions.
All TradFi Perps positions are settled in USDT and operate as cash-settled derivative contracts, meaning users gain price exposure to the underlying stocks without holding actual shares or receiving voting and dividend rights. Unlike traditional equity markets, these perpetual contracts trade 24/7, matching the always-on structure familiar to crypto traders.
The process remains consistent with Bybit’s existing copy trading mechanics. Eligible users select a Master Trader who trades TradFi Perps and follow them through Copy Trading Classic. Once linked, the follower’s account mirrors both crypto and TradFi positions, with sizing scaled to the follower’s allocated funds rather than requiring manual trade replication.
Bybit framed the launch as part of its broader New Financial Platform vision, extending access beyond crypto into stocks, gold, and other traditional assets through perpetual contract structures. The exchange cited data showing monthly trading volume of TradFi assets on major crypto exchanges grew 117 times over the 18 months to June 2026, rising from $3.32 billion in January 2025 to $387.39 billion in June 2026. Cumulative TradFi perpetual contract volume in the first five months of 2026 reached $1.32 trillion, about 12.7 times the $104.21 billion recorded across all of 2025.
The announcement did not specify the full list of available TradFi assets at launch, whether more equities or commodities will be added, or how access will vary across jurisdictions. Bybit noted that terms and conditions apply, and the new functionality is live now within Copy Trading Classic.
