MoonPay has confirmed plans to acquire North Capital, a private-markets infrastructure platform, in an all-stock transaction valued at more than $60 million. The deal, which remains subject to regulatory approval, was reported by crypto commentators @WuBlockchain and @SolanaFloor on September 23, 2026.
North Capital has facilitated approximately $9 billion in primary and secondary market transactions, giving MoonPay access to regulated brokerage, custody and tokenized securities infrastructure. The acquisition is designed to strengthen MoonPay's position in the expanding market for tokenized real-world assets and onchain capital markets.
By integrating North Capital's services, MoonPay aims to broaden its compliance capabilities and attract new users, even as broader crypto market conditions show mixed signals. Analysts view the move as a proactive step that may set a precedent for future tokenization-focused deals, though traders should monitor regulatory approval and integration updates.
