Sui Network has launched GraphQL Subscriptions on its mainnet, a move aimed at equipping developers with real-time data capabilities for agentic finance and decentralized applications. The update, announced on September 22, 2026, is designed to streamline data processing and support more responsive DeFi applications.
The launch arrives as Sui’s DeFi ecosystem holds above a critical liquidity benchmark. According to DeFiLlama data cited on September 21, the network’s total value locked stood at approximately $1.04 billion, while 24-hour decentralized exchange volume reached roughly $185 million. The data suggests that substantial liquidity is not merely parked but is supporting active onchain trading.
Analysts cautioned that the TVL figure does not represent a new all-time high, since dollar-denominated total value locked fluctuates with token prices and net deposits. However, maintaining the billion-dollar level through changing market conditions indicates persistence rather than a short-lived spike.
The launch aligns with a broader blockchain trend toward real-time data utilization and agentic finance, potentially encouraging further developer activity and engagement across the Sui ecosystem.
