PancakeSwap has issued an urgent notice for CAKE holders on opBNB, warning them to bridge their tokens before November 23 at 00:00 UTC. The deadline follows LayerZero’s decision to end offchain support for opBNB, which will disable the LayerZero-powered route currently used to move CAKE out of the network.
The decentralized exchange clarified that the change affects only the LayerZero bridge path and does not mean CAKE or opBNB is being discontinued. Holders still holding CAKE on opBNB are advised to move funds to BNB Chain or another supported destination before the cutoff.
PancakeSwap outlined four steps: open the official PancakeSwap bridge page, connect the wallet holding CAKE on opBNB, select opBNB as the source network and BNB Chain as the destination, then choose CAKE, enter the amount and confirm the transaction. Users were also cautioned to verify links and avoid sharing seed phrases, with the team warning about phishing attempts from accounts offering bridging assistance.
After November 23 at 00:00 UTC, the current LayerZero-powered route will no longer support moving CAKE out of opBNB, so users are encouraged to complete transfers well ahead of the deadline to allow sufficient transaction processing time.
