The cryptocurrency market is entering a high-stakes week, with a heavy calendar of token unlocks, macroeconomic data, regulatory updates, and exchange-related developments after a volatile stretch. Over the previous seven days, renewed concerns about a possible Federal Reserve interest-rate increase, the Bitget hack exceeding $300 million, and geopolitical uncertainty around Iran-US tensions kept investors cautious. Bitcoin outperformed most of the market with a gain of roughly 4%, while many altcoins lagged despite some green candles.
According to a schedule compiled by Bitcoinsistemi, 18 altcoin projects will unlock tokens between September 28 and October 4, 2026 (all times UTC+3). The most aggressive relative unlock is DoubleZero (2Z), which will release $113.27 million worth of tokens on October 2 at 03:00, equivalent to about 46.78% of its market value. Falcon Finance (FF) follows with $32.34 million, or 10.58% of market value, on September 29 at 03:00. Lagrange (LA) will unlock $2.14 million, or 15.04% of its market cap, on October 4 at 03:00, while Bitway (BTW) has the largest dollar-denominated unlock at $105.67 million, or 3.62% of market value, on October 2 at 09:00.
The day-by-day unlock schedule is as follows: September 28 brings unlocks for Sign and Corn; September 29 includes Falcon Finance, Anoma, Midnight, and Gensyn; September 30 covers BSquared Network and GUNZ; October 1 features Kite, Audiera, Swarm Network, and EigenCloud; October 2 includes DoubleZero, Quack AI, Bitway, and Ethena (ENA); October 3 brings Impossible Cloud Network; and October 4 closes with Lagrange.
Beyond token unlocks, the week is packed with macro and business events. On September 28, Grayscale’s Zcash ETF will undergo a 1:3 stock split, and Bitget will begin gradually resuming withdrawals, starting with Bitcoin. Korea Blockchain Week starts September 29, while CoinEx ends spot trading that day. September 30 is especially busy: South Korea introduces civil seizure rules for crypto assets, the UK’s FCA opens licensing applications, Armada shareholders vote on a merger with XRP Treasury Evernorth, Offramp suspends cryptocurrency withdrawals, and Router Protocol begins shutting down. Key US data includes ADP non-farm payrolls, core PCE, and GDP. October 1 brings the WLFI governance incentive vote and US initial jobless claims, while October 2 includes euro-area CPI and the US non-farm payrolls report, unemployment rate, and average hourly earnings. Bitget is expected to fully resume all other token, fiat, and OTC withdrawals on October 2. Key expectations include ADP at 70k versus 38k, core PCE annual at 3.4% versus 3.3%, GDP at 1.5%, initial jobless claims at 199k, euro-area CPI annual at 3.7%, non-farm payrolls at 98k versus 162k, and unemployment at 4.1%.
