OKX has listed Doppler Finance's XDP token for spot trading against USDT and opened a USDT-margined perpetual contract with up to 20x leverage. The rollout began on September 28 with XDP deposits at 03:00 UTC, followed by a one-hour call auction from 12:00 to 13:00 UTC. Spot trading opened at 13:00 UTC, withdrawals followed at 15:00 UTC, and the XDP perpetual market went live at 14:00 UTC.
The perpetual market trades continuously and uses a funding mechanism to keep futures prices aligned with the underlying XDP index. OKX noted that regional availability varies and that additional price controls apply while new tokens lack a stable index price.
Doppler Finance describes itself as infrastructure for tokenized capital markets, focusing on yield, collateral, and tokenized real-world assets. The listing gives XDP both a conventional spot market and leveraged derivatives immediately after its token-generation event, which also included trading and liquidity across several other venues.
In a separate but related development, Doppler is building a financial layer for tokenized assets beginning with XRP and RLUSD yield vaults. Crypto commentator @Route2FI highlighted the initiative, which includes integrating cbXRP on Base, facilitating lending through the XRP Ledger, and developing strategies for using assets across on-chain products. Partnerships with exchanges such as OKX, Kraken, and Binance are part of the rollout.
The project aims to let asset holders earn, borrow, and deploy tokenized assets more effectively, potentially improving XRP liquidity and adoption in decentralized finance. For traders, the new XDP perpetual adds opportunity but also concentration and volatility risk, as new tokens often have limited price history and uneven liquidity.
