Strive, Inc. has expanded its corporate Bitcoin treasury with an additional 1,107 BTC purchased between Sept. 21 and Sept. 25, according to a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company paid an average price of $85,396 per coin, bringing total acquisition cost for the week to approximately $94.5 million.
With the latest purchase, Strive's total holdings have risen to 27,462 BTC, worth roughly $2.3 billion at current market prices. Strive remains the fifth-largest publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company, behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet, and MARA. CEO Matt Cole confirmed the acquisition on X.
The majority of the capital used for the purchase came from the company's SATA perpetual preferred stock, which supplied approximately 85% of the week's total capital raise, up from 58% the prior week. Warrant exercises contributed another $12.4 million, down from $21.2 million a week earlier. Strive's cash and cash equivalents also increased from $229.6 million to $248.8 million, according to the filing.
Strive also holds 505,000 units of Strategy's Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, known as STRC, adding another layer of crypto exposure to its balance sheet. The company's stock, ASST, is up nearly 70% year to date despite a slight dip on Monday, trading near $29.35.
CEO Matt Cole has previously stated that Strive could climb to second place among public Bitcoin holders by the end of 2026. To surpass Twenty One's 43,514 BTC, Strive would need to add roughly 16,053 more coins, or about 1,235 BTC per week for the remaining 13 weeks of the year. The current pace remains slightly below that target, following 1,355 BTC the prior week and 1,107 BTC this week.
Elsewhere, Strategy purchased 1,665 BTC during the period, while Bitmine added 17,362 ETH, bringing its total Ethereum holdings to more than 6 million coins. Bitcoin traded near a one-week low around $83,000 on Sunday night and was last down about 2% on the day.
