On October 1, 2026, Robinhood Wallet integrated Arcus’ API as a new routing provider for stock token spot swaps, giving eligible users in supported jurisdictions access to Arcus’ liquidity and execution infrastructure. Arcus, built by the team behind dYdX, launched on Robinhood Chain in July 2026 with more than 90 stock tokens and has since expanded its lineup to more than 190, while perpetual markets remain in beta.
Arcus uses a request-for-quote model in which professional market makers compete to price each swap rather than relying on a single liquidity pool. Users whose swaps execute through Arcus may be eligible for Arcus Points, and limit orders will be available through the wallet’s dapp browser. Arcus has processed more than $5 billion in cumulative trading volume, with over 15,000 unique traders and total value locked above $28 million. CEO Eddie Zhang said the early traction reinforces that traders want markets that are global, accessible, and always on.
In parallel, Robinhood and Cboe Global Markets announced binary KPI contracts tied to the corporate performance of 23 U.S.-listed companies. Robinhood will serve as the first retail broker to list these event contracts during October 2026, subject to SEC regulatory clearance. Both firms established zero transaction fees through December 31, 2026. Cboe Clear U.S. has formally requested temporary registration as a covered clearing agency from the SEC, a vehicle that could also support future clearing and settlement of tokenized financial instruments. Steve Quirk, Chief Brokerage Officer at Robinhood, said the instruments allow traders to calibrate strategies around specific corporate expectations ahead of quarterly earnings releases.
