XRP is drawing renewed attention after fresh analyst and AI-generated forecasts outlined sharply diverging long-term price scenarios, while on-chain and institutional signals point to building network utility. As of October 1, 2026, XRP was trading near $1.47 to $1.51, down between 3.4% and 8.2% over recent sessions, depending on the reporting window. A widely cited analyst scenario puts XRP at $25 by 2030, which would require a gain of roughly 1,588% from current levels and push its market capitalization to about $1.58 trillion, compared with roughly $93 billion today.
That target would place XRP close to Bitcoin's valuation of about $1.69 trillion and far above XRP's all-time high of $3.65 from July 2025. Separate modeling from Perplexity AI offers a more moderate but still bullish outlook: $4.25 by the end of 2026 in a full bull market, with a technical foundation for a possible move toward $3.50 if XRP holds above $1.50 and breaks its pattern of lower highs. Near-term resistance is seen at $1.55–$1.59 and then $1.61–$1.70, while support sits at $1.47–$1.50, followed by $1.38 and $1.25. A four-hour symmetrical triangle could target about $1.83 on a breakout or risk $1.25 on a breakdown.
Underlying activity is improving. Active addresses on the XRP Ledger surged 84% to 43,543 in August and September, while daily payments crossed 2.6 million. The XRPL v3.3.0 upgrade introduces Confidential Transfers with zero-knowledge privacy features and atomic batch transactions, which could support more sophisticated settlement workflows including institutional real-world asset use cases. Ripple also locked 700 million XRP back into escrow following the scheduled October 1 unlock of 1 billion XRP.
Institutional exposure appears to be increasing as well. Bank of Montreal and National Bank of Canada disclosed XRP ETF exposure in fresh 13F filings, placing XRP within portfolios that manage hundreds of billions of dollars. Despite the bullish forecasts, the immediate technical picture remains mixed: RSI was reading about 35.75 against a signal line near 40.64, indicating short-term momentum still favors sellers. Analysts caution that XRP must first break out of its multi-month range before long-term targets become credible.
