Porsche has officially ended its PIONΞERS CIRCLE Web3 project and community nearly four years after unveiling its 911 NFT collection at Art Basel in Miami in December 2022. The company announced the shutdown on October 1, 2026, confirming that existing PORSCHΞ 911 NFTs will remain in holders’ wallets and continue to exist onchain, while the official infrastructure around the collection is wound down.
The collection initially opened minting in January 2023 at 0.911 ETH per NFT with a planned supply of 7,500. After immediate criticism and falling floor prices, Porsche cut the supply and halted the mint early, leaving the final supply at 2,363 tokens. OpenSea data cited in reports shows roughly $20 million in all-time trading volume, but only about $38,000 over the past year and around $2,900 in the past month, illustrating a sharp drop in secondary market activity.
As part of the wind-down, the PIONΞERS Discord server will become a read-only archive and the @eth_porsche X account will no longer receive active updates. Porsche did not announce any redemption, burn or migration process for the NFT collection. The company thanked community members and said the initiative evolved from a technology experiment into a broader community experience, with holders gaining access to physical events and motorsport gatherings over the years.
The closure places Porsche among major consumer brands that entered NFTs during the earlier experimental phase and have since retreated, highlighting the risk that branded NFT value can fade when a company steps back from active engagement.
