Popular analyst Ali Martinez highlighted three altcoins—Ripple’s XRP, Quant (QNT), and Injective (INJ)—as candidates for breakouts as early as this week. The commentary arrived after Bitcoin and most altcoins were rejected from Monday peaks, with BTC sliding from a local high near $87,000 to about $85,000 and total crypto market cap shedding roughly $50 billion.
For XRP, Martinez said the token appears to have broken above the descending resistance line of a triangle on the four-hour chart. He identified $1.50 as key support and set an upside target of $1.62 if that level holds. XRP was stopped at $1.53 on Monday and later dipped just under $1.50. CryptoQuant’s CW offered a more supportive view, saying the bullish trend remains intact and XRP has reclaimed the Point of Control even if sideways movement continues.
Quant’s setup is based on a strong rally following major banking adoption news. QNT surged roughly 530% in days, moving from about $59 to $370 before pulling back to around $255. Martinez said an hourly close above $262 would confirm the breakout he is watching, with $315 and $344 as the next targets. Before the retracement, he suggested that a move past $430 could open the door to a larger expansion toward $2,000.
Injective has also had several legs higher since mid-August, moving from around $4.00 to $6.00, correcting to $4.60, then surging in September to top $8.50. The token has since slipped to about $7.50. Martinez described a cup-and-handle formation and said INJ needs to hold above the neckline near $7.33 to keep the pattern active. If buyers defend that level and momentum picks up, the measured move points toward $13.40.
As the broader market pulled back, TradingView data showed total crypto market capitalization at $2.88 trillion, with the market excluding Bitcoin at $1.17 trillion and the altcoin market at $246.96 billion. The reaction around these technical levels will determine whether the three altcoins can follow through on their breakout setups.
