Bitcoin recovered to around $82,000 on Friday after President Donald Trump said the United States will not attack Iran before the November 3 midterm elections. The statement on Truth Social followed an Axios report that the Pentagon had told US Central Command to prepare for major combat operations against Iran, which had pushed oil prices higher and pressured risk assets earlier in the week.
Trump wrote that discussions with Iran have been productive and that the blockade on Iran will remain in full force. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the country is reviewing the US proposal and would respond within days. Prediction market Polymarket showed traders now see a 60 percent chance the ceasefire holds through November 15, up from before the statement.
Oil pulled back from session highs, with Brent crude falling from near $106 to about $103.50 and WTI slipping from around $93 to roughly $91, though both remained more than 3 percent higher on the day. In crypto, Bitcoin had fallen to about $80,300 before buyers stepped in, then climbed toward $82,000. Ether, XRP and Solana trimmed Thursday's losses. Analysts are watching key levels: Ted sees a break below $82,500 opening a drop toward $77,500, Giottus CEO Vikram Subburaj points to $81,000 as immediate support, and BitDelta India's Purvang Mashru says holding above $82,000 with ether above $2,500 would help stabilize the setup.
