Crypto.com has completed the Stargate Finance (STG) token merge into LayerZero (ZRO), allowing users to trade ZRO immediately on its App and Exchange. The token reissue was executed at a ratio of 1 STG to 0.08634 ZRO, marking a strategic step toward token standardization and improved cross-chain liquidity access.
On October 12, 2026, ZRO traded near $2.37, up 14.91% in 24 hours and 23.80% over seven days. Its market capitalization approached $940 million, with 24-hour trading volume around $158 million. The token moved between $2.01 and $2.48 during the daily session, approaching the upper end of its seven-day range of $1.89 to $2.48.
Technical analyst Crypto With Gopal identified a rising wedge pattern and warned that a sustained move above $2.50 could be bullish, while a breakdown below $2.00 could open a decline toward $1.20. The daily RSI reached 74.43, above the overbought threshold of 70, suggesting strong recent buying momentum.
LayerZero has also expanded its security and interoperability footprint. On October 8, it launched Bridge Sentinel, a security-focused Decentralized Verifier Network operated by Blockaid, to screen cross-chain messages. On September 21, Anchorage Digital selected LayerZero as its interoperability partner for bank-issued stablecoins. Additionally, LayerZero confirmed that Stargate token holders can convert STG into ZRO until December 15, 2026, after which support ends.
The merger and trading debut highlight growing demand for multi-chain infrastructure. Analyst Jus7Degen described ZRO as “one of the clearest infrastructure bets” on a multi-chain crypto market, while cautioning that competition and security remain risks.
