Long-term Bitcoin forecasts are turning increasingly bullish, with Morgan Creek Capital Management founder Mark Yusko arguing that BTC could grow eight to tenfold and eventually reach a $15 trillion market capitalization. In an interview with New Era Finance, Yusko said Bitcoin's current market cap near $2 trillion leaves substantial room to challenge gold's monetary role. He noted gold's total market value is about $30 trillion, with roughly $15 trillion used as a store of value. "I think Bitcoin could easily become a $15 trillion asset," Yusko stated, adding that such a move would imply an 8x to 10x increase from current levels and could happen over the next five to ten years.
Yusko also predicted that governments and central banks could eventually treat Bitcoin as a reserve asset alongside gold, potentially accelerating institutional adoption. He cited Metcalfe's Law-based network value models suggesting Bitcoin's fair value is approximately $105,000, while BTC was trading around $85,000, creating potential accumulation opportunities for long-term investors. The investor tied Bitcoin's long-term case to fiat currency debasement, noting that the United States created roughly $10 trillion in its first 245 years and a similar amount in just the last five years, boosting demand for scarce assets.
On the short-term view, Yusko said Bitcoin appears to be exiting a downtrend and entering an accumulation phase after forming a double bottom around $60,000, with improving volume and higher lows signaling weakening selling pressure. He does not expect an immediate parabolic advance, instead forecasting a gradual recovery before a stronger move after the next halving in 2029.
Separately, analyst Michael Nadeau told The Defiant Report that Bitcoin may spend months trading between $80,000 and $95,000, while assigning a 90% probability that the market has entered an early bullish phase. Nadeau highlighted the 50-week moving average near $77,200 as a critical structural level, with a possible bottom around $75,000 and a broader consolidation zone of $78,000 to $92,000. A sustained push above $90,000 could revive expectations for a move back to $100,000. He also linked the outlook to inflation and macroeconomic uncertainty, which could delay the next major rally.
Beyond Bitcoin, Nadeau expects selective fundamentally stronger altcoins to outperform, citing Hyperliquid, Zcash, NEAR Protocol and Lighter among projects showing relative strength. He said Bitcoin dominance near 60% may rise temporarily before capital rotates back into altcoins.
