Tokenized real-world assets are expanding at a rapid pace, with US Treasuries leading the charge. According to Chainalysis, tokenized US Treasuries surged 125% to $15.42 billion in Q2 2026, adding $8.56 billion and helping total tokenized asset value reach $36.07 billion. Corporate credit tokenization skyrocketed by 3,156%, while private equity rose 1,340%, reflecting wider investor demand beyond government debt.
Separate industry data after TOKEN2049 showed the tokenized stocks sector reached $3.8 billion in the week of October 5, 2026, up 483% from $654 million in January. Spot trading volume on decentralized exchanges climbed from $45.8 million to $2.54 billion weekly, a 55-fold increase, with an all-time high of $7.26 billion in late August.
The issuer landscape shifted meaningfully. Ondo Finance remained the largest tokenized stock issuer with $1 billion in capitalization, though its market share declined from 56% to 26%. Binance's bStocks product, launched in June, reached $905 million and captured 24% of the market, while xStocks rose to $954 million. Robinhood expanded its tokenized asset custody from $20 million to $170 million, and Securitize tokenized IPO shares for $290 million.
Multi-chain competition intensified. Ethereum’s share of tokenized stock issuance fell from 50% in January to 22% by October, while BNB Chain grew from 9% to 32%, supported by bStocks. Avalanche entered with a 9% share after Securitize registered shares on its network. DEX trading distribution also became less concentrated: Solana's dominance dropped from 99.8% to 31%, with Robinhood Chain at 26%, BNB Chain at 25%, and Base at 18%.
Wallet-to-wallet transfer volume surged from $420 million to $17.5 billion weekly, and active DeFi TVL tied to tokenized equities reached $313 million by mid-October, up from $15.5 million in January. Despite the momentum, tokenized stocks still represent just 0.005% of the $75 trillion US equity market, leaving substantial room for growth as upcoming Q4 audits from Ondo Finance and Securitize approach.
