Two major AI platforms have issued explosive Bitcoin forecasts for early 2027, with Meta AI and Anthropic’s Claude AI outlining scenarios in which institutional and sovereign adoption could drive BTC far beyond current levels.
Meta AI predicts Bitcoin could surpass $1 million and reach between $700,000 and $1,500,000 by January 1, 2027, with an ambitious target of $2 million if a robust crypto bull market returns. As of October 18, 2026, Bitcoin was trading between $81,500 and $82,100. The forecast assumes major tech companies and financial institutions gain regulatory approval to treat Bitcoin as a core treasury asset, potentially creating structural demand.
From a technical perspective, Bitcoin has been consolidating in the low $80,000s after failing to hold above the mid-$80,000s. A decisive weekly close above $90,000–$100,000 would confirm intermediate strength and open a path toward the prior all-time high near $126,000. Key support sits in the $78,000–$80,000 and $74,000–$76,000 ranges.
Claude AI’s scenario is more conservative but still aggressive: $250,000 by January 1, 2027. This would require a perfect storm of institutional demand, sovereign adoption, and a major shift in global financial policy. The hypothetical catalyst is a major G20 economy announcing a strategic Bitcoin reserve and a framework allowing pension funds to allocate a small percentage to BTC.
As of October 20, Bitcoin traded around $82,000, about 35% below its October 2025 all-time high of $126,080. Claude AI’s model says BTC would first need to reclaim $87,400 and break its previous record. If a sovereign-reserve announcement followed, the price could extend toward $180,000–$200,000 before a final speculative surge toward $250,000. The key obstacle is the timeline: from about $82,000, Bitcoin would need a 205% gain in just over two months.
Both forecasts emphasize that without extraordinary structural demand from corporate treasuries, pension funds, and sovereign buyers, such targets remain highly speculative.
