Zcash rebounded sharply on Tuesday, rising 8.5% over 24 hours to $1,215.85 and lifting its market capitalization to $20.57 billion. The privacy coin outperformed the wider crypto market after defending support near $1,140, the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement of its June-to-September rally. ZEC opened around $1,151, traded between roughly $1,118 and $1,232, and moved back toward its 50-day simple moving average near $1,270.
The bounce came as risk sentiment improved across markets. Bitcoin gained 1.57% to $83,195, while Ethereum climbed 2.90% to $2,463.35. Total crypto market capitalization rose 1.68% to $2.78 trillion, and the CMC20 index added 1.45%. Bitcoin and other crypto ETFs recorded net inflows of $526.7 million, the largest in a month. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index sits at a neutral 51, while the Altcoin Season Index reads 60.
Still, macro pressures remain. Brent crude trades near $110 a barrel and the 10-year Treasury yield stands above 5%, keeping the Federal Reserve's October 27–28 meeting in focus. On the Zcash chart, a daily close above the 50-day SMA near $1,270 could confirm the channel breakout and open a path toward the 0.236 Fibonacci level near $1,350. A rejection could send ZEC back to retest support at $1,140, with the next major downside area near the 0.5 Fibonacci at $970. Traders are also watching the NU7 network upgrade decision as a potential catalyst.
