Sui Launches Asset Transfers on Mercado Bitcoin in Brazil as SUI Tests Key $0.866 Support

Key takeaways:

  • Mercado Bitcoin’s SUI integration may boost Brazilian demand, but seven-day weakness warrants cautious accumulation.
  • USDsui lending collateral expands Sui’s DeFi utility, yet adoption depends on Mercado Bitcoin user uptake.
  • SUI’s $0.866 Fibonacci support is critical; a break lower could accelerate risk-off sentiment.

Sui Network has expanded into Brazil through Mercado Bitcoin, with the exchange becoming the first in the country to support Sui asset transfers. The integration gives Mercado Bitcoin’s 4.5 million clients the ability to buy, sell, send and receive SUI, USDC and USDsui. Beyond spot trading, USDsui is becoming available as lending collateral for Mercado Bitcoin customers, creating another route into Sui-based financial products.

Mercado Bitcoin is also exploring an integration with Hashi, Sui’s native Bitcoin infrastructure, once it reaches mainnet. Hashi is expected to launch with more than $500 million in committed capital and is designed to let Bitcoin serve as collateral in lending, borrowing and credit products without requiring users to sell their BTC. In addition, Mercado Bitcoin plans to bring its CVM- and BCB-regulated real-world asset platform to Sui; the exchange said it has issued more than 800 tokenized assets since 2019 across credit, lending and real estate. That would allow investors to move between Brazilian reais and tokenized assets around the clock.

On the price side, SUI is nearing the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement at $0.866, which More Crypto Online identifies as the lowest ideal support for wave (4). SUI traded near $0.9143 with daily volume around $300.16 million, gaining 0.25% over 24 hours but losing 7.67% over seven days. A move above $0.935 would put the next resistance levels near $1.028 and $1.322 in view, while a break below $0.866 could expose lower supports around $0.694 and $0.494. Futures data shows Binance led SUI futures volume at $172.84 million, followed by MEXC at $71.40 million and OKX at $63.08 million; open interest was closely split between Binance at $116.14 million and Gate at $115.95 million.
