Travala Unveils AVA+ Partners to Expand Crypto Payments

Key takeaways:

  • AVA lock-up incentives could tighten circulating supply, but execution risk remains until the program launches.
  • Partner token acceptance may boost Travala utility, yet approval and withdrawal terms cap near-term adoption.
  • Traders should track AVA’s locked-supply progress toward 30%; slow uptake could weaken the scarcity narrative.

Travala, the Binance-backed crypto travel booking platform, announced a new program called AVA+ Partners on October 29th, 2026. The initiative gives crypto projects a route to have their token accepted as a payment method on Travala by buying and locking AVA, the core token of the Travala ecosystem.

The program, currently in development, requires partner projects to hold AVA for as long as their token is accepted on Travala, while receiving partner rewards throughout the partnership. AVA+ Partners involves three steps: acquire AVA on the open market, buy a Travel Tiger NFT, and activate a Smart Diamond membership while locking AVA in a dedicated AVA+ Partners smart contract.

Projects can withdraw from the program at any time, but those that leave early contribute part of their locked AVA to the AVA Strategic Reserve, which Travala has committed never to sell or transfer from. All partner projects remain subject to Travala’s approval.

“AVA+ Partners turns real-world utility on Travala into a long-term commitment to AVA,” said Steve Hipwell, AVA Foundation Lead Contributor. “It’s a use case that grows directly with the expansion of our partner and payment ecosystem.”

AVA locked through the program builds toward the recently announced long-term goal of achieving 30% of AVA’s circulating supply locked, counted alongside AVA locked through the AVA Smart Program and AVA+ Rewards. Full terms, including withdrawal fees, will be set out in each partner agreement.

Travala offers more than 2,200,000 properties across 230 countries, over 600 airlines, 50,000 car rental locations, and 400,000 activities globally, accepting more than 100 leading cryptocurrencies alongside traditional payment methods.
