ChangeNOW brought together major wallet, infrastructure and media players during its TOKEN2049 Singapore program on October 28, 2026. The event featured four panel discussions and a keynote from Chief Strategy Officer Pauline Shangett, whose talk, “Next Billion Users Should Never Touch Blockchain,” argued that mainstream users should not have to choose networks, manage gas fees, or navigate fragmented services.
At the ChangeNOW booth, The Block’s Kelvin Sparks moderated a wallet panel with MetaMask, Trezor and ChangeNOW. The discussion focused on wallets becoming multi-service interfaces, security considerations, and user approval for AI agents. Yana, Head of Business Development & Account Management at ChangeNOW, said: “The user shouldn’t have to think about gas. The user shouldn’t have to go through multiple steps to switch from one network to another, when a lot of that can be done in the background.”
An infrastructure session with Banxa, RocketX, WalletConnect and Aztec Labs examined transaction routing and privacy for on-chain payments. A super app panel featuring Pulsar Money, Rubic, Hercules and CoinRoutes debated whether payments, trading, or broader financial services would drive regular consumer usage. A media-focused panel with CoinEasy, The Block of Media and ChangeNOW discussed AI’s impact on search, SEO and audience monetization. Journalist Ramia Farrage also hosted NOW Effect interviews with representatives from Stellar, Injective, NEAR Intents, USDD, Sonic and Zcash, covering cross-border payments, institutional DeFi participation, stablecoins, privacy and blockchain usability.
The sessions were recorded for release as part of ChangeNOW’s TOKEN2049 coverage.
