Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP are facing renewed downside pressure after a $6.3 billion Binance hack triggered one of crypto’s nastiest selloffs of 2026. Bitcoin dropped as low as roughly $76,400 before attempting a recovery, Ethereum briefly traded near $2,170, and XRP fell toward the low-$1.20s. More than $1.5 billion in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated during the selloff. Bearish momentum has spread across the broader market, with all three assets trading below important short-term resistance levels.
Before the full post-hack price mapping, technical levels showed Bitcoin holding above its 100-day EMA at $77,839 but needing to reclaim $80,636 to strengthen recovery prospects. Ethereum risked further losses toward $2,078 if sellers broke the critical $2,217 support level, while XRP approached crucial support at $1.2577 with bearish momentum threatening a decline toward $1.20. Bitcoin remains relatively stronger than Ethereum and XRP because it still holds above its longer-term moving averages, and oversold conditions across Bitcoin and Ethereum suggest buyers could attempt a recovery. Upcoming daily closes may determine whether the market stabilizes or extends its correction.
Analyst Ali Martinez is now looking beyond the initial panic and mapping potential buy zones. On Bitcoin, he is watching approximately $73,000 as the next meaningful support area, a level made more significant by its proximity to Bitcoin’s 200-day moving average. Before that, the $76,000–$77,000 region is already trying to provide support, but if a post-hack recovery fails and $76,000 gives way again, the $73,000 zone becomes realistic. His chart also marks roughly $67,500 and $60,000 as deeper levels.
For Ethereum, Martinez points toward $1,976, effectively a test of the psychological $2,000 level. ETH fell below $2,200 during the initial Binance-driven panic before bouncing toward roughly $2,220–$2,240. The chart shows a sequence of lower highs beneath a descending trendline, with nearby levels around $2,391 and $2,480 now acting as resistance. If Ethereum cannot reclaim the $2,400 region, a move toward $2,000 becomes considerably easier to imagine than before the hack.
XRP is described as the most aggressive setup of the three. Trading around $1.25, XRP has support around $1.15 before the larger psychological level at $1.00. Reaching that area would represent another roughly 20% decline from current levels. The chart also shows former resistance around $1.40–$1.55, which XRP would eventually need to reclaim before the broader structure starts looking significantly healthier.
Martinez emphasized that these are support zones, not guaranteed bottoms. He is identifying areas where stronger buyer interest could emerge after the Binance shock. Caution remains warranted: institutional investors have reportedly begun pulling assets away from centralized exchanges following the breach, derivatives traders remain defensive, and Bitcoin options activity has concentrated heavily around $74,000–$78,000 puts. Another leg lower would not be surprising.
