Litecoin is trading below both key moving averages and faces a decisive test as Bitcoin wobbles near a closely watched level. LTC changed hands near $54.15 on Tuesday, flat over 24 hours, down about 5% for the week and roughly 23% over the past month. The coin is pressing against its 30-day low near $53.65, with the 50-day average near $58.42 and the 200-day average near $56.51 now acting as overhead resistance.
Bitcoin traded near $77,609 on Nov. 3, about 3.5% above the $75,000 level traders are monitoring. It has lost 10.4% over 30 days and 3.7% in the past week, leaving it roughly 38% below its record of $126,080 set in early October 2025. The slide has pushed traders to assess which large altcoins would suffer most if BTC breaks lower.
Litecoin’s 90-day beta to Bitcoin sits at 0.99, compared with Cardano at 1.55 and Dogecoin at 1.45. Over the past month, Cardano fell 26.9% and Dogecoin lost 21.6%. Despite its low beta, Litecoin has not been immune: in the late May to early June sell-off, LTC dropped 21.1% while Bitcoin fell 17.6%.
Momentum indicators remain bearish. The daily RSI is near 36, showing weak demand but not yet oversold below 30. The MACD remains below its signal line, indicating downward momentum. Sellers still have room to push before the market looks stretched enough for a reliable bounce.
The key support sits near $51.62. A daily close below that level could erase Litecoin’s last sign of relative strength and open the path toward the lower floor near $46.95. On the upside, buyers must first reclaim resistance near $56.71, which aligns closely with the 200-day average, followed by the next ceiling near $59.66. A daily close above those levels would put the round-number target of $60 back in focus.
The analysis concludes that Litecoin needs Bitcoin’s help before reaching $60. If Bitcoin holds above its watched mark, and LTC closes above the 200-day average, a move toward $60 becomes possible. Conversely, a Bitcoin slip could drag Litecoin through support given how closely the two coins move.
