Solana traded near $89 on Nov. 8, 2026, after retreating from roughly $120 in October and remaining far below its January 2025 peak near $295. The weekly Relative Strength Index sat at 44.99, below the neutral 50 line, while the MACD line at 2.00 and signal line at 1.50 suggested a narrowing gap that could precede a bearish crossover. Immediate support was seen between $85 and $90, with the next demand zone at $75–$80 and the summer base around $60–$65. Resistance stood near $100, then $115–$125.
Solana’s October upgrades delivered record fundamentals. On Oct. 9, SIMD-0525 cut the target slot time from 400 milliseconds to 200 milliseconds, and on Oct. 21 the Alpenglow consensus engine replaced TowerBFT on mainnet, targeting finality of about 150 milliseconds versus roughly 12.8 seconds, without a network restart. Because validator votes are no longer posted as on-chain transactions, transaction-count dashboards may show a sharp drop that does not reflect lower usage. Solana Foundation reported record tokenized real-world assets of $5 billion, about $60 billion in monthly DEX volume, 14 million stablecoin-holding addresses, $5.2 billion in DeFi TVL, $14.6 billion in stablecoin supply, and $10.7 billion in weekly DEX volume.
Institutional and payments adoption also expanded. J.P. Morgan Asset Management brought tokenized money market funds to Solana through Morgan Money, while Securitize and Ondo expanded stock and portfolio products. Samsung Wallet, Fiserv, and Western Union added integrations, though some remain pilots or region-limited. On the ETF side, U.S. spot Solana funds recorded $25.07 million in net outflows on Nov. 6, with Bitwise’s BSOL accounting for $14.44 million. Cumulative inflows were about $1.45 billion, but Solana ETFs have now logged 12 straight sessions without net inflows, alongside $412 million in Bitcoin ETF outflows and $93 million in Ethereum ETF outflows.
Analysts remain split. Standard Chartered analyst Geoffrey Kendrick has a 2029 target of $1,200 for SOL, though the bank cut its 2026 target from $250 to $135. PrimeXBT projects a 2029 range of $262 to $411, with an average near $339. Reaching $500 from $89.10 would require a gain of about 461%. Trader Jesse Olson cautioned that SOL remains in a downtrend until proven otherwise, while trader Sweep highlighted a bullish RSI divergence as a sign of seller exhaustion. Bulls want to reclaim $90 and then $95–$100, with a clean break above $100 ending the lower-high structure and putting October highs back in focus.
