Microsoft-backed Space and Time Launches Public Mainnet with Major Crypto Integrations

Space and Time, a blockchain project supported by Microsoft, has officially launched its public, permissionless mainnet. Developed by MakeInfinite Labs, the platform offers a decentralized, verifiable database infrastructure that leverages zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, allowing smart contracts to securely query historical, crosschain, and offchain data. The data is indexed from leading networks, including Ethereum, and accessed via a decentralized network of validators using the project’s unique Proof of SQL co-processor, which delivers cryptographic verification for every database query.

According to co-founder Scott Dykstra, the new platform enables developers to construct onchain applications with enhanced data security, using tamper-proof cryptographic proofs to bridge cloud databases and smart contracts. Notable financial institutions, alongside cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google BigQuery, are either integrating with or utilizing the platform’s data services. Significant crypto projects, including Chainlink, SUI, and ZKsync, are also connected to or building within the Space and Time ecosystem.

The native utility token SXT is set for release immediately following the mainnet’s launch. The network, which had more than 30 validators during its testnet phase globally, is permissionless and encourages community participation as validators and stakers. MakeInfinite Labs, the creators of Space and Time, received strategic backing from Microsoft in 2022 and a Series A round in 2024, and have contributed to other crypto projects like Blitzar and the Chainlink DeFi Yield Index.
