World Chain, formerly known as Worldcoin, has officially launched its Priority Blockspace for Humans (PBH) on its mainnet, marking a significant advancement in its aim to create a human-centric blockchain network. This new infrastructure prioritizes transactions from over 13 million Orb-verified users, ensuring equitable access and improving transaction speed, predictability, and fairness during periods of network congestion.
PBH auto-activates when the network experiences high traffic by reserving a portion of each block specifically for human-verified transactions. This system replaces traditional gas fee bidding mechanisms with a proof-of-human-based order system, preventing basic services such as proof-of-human verifications, Mini Apps, and grant claims from facing delays or added costs. By prioritizing real human transactions during block production, PBH aims to make the World Chain fairer and more efficient.
The system has been thoroughly tested on an incentivized testnet involving key Web3 innovators such as Flashbots and Alchemy, and both PBH and its related Rollup Boost Op Stack component have undergone independent security audits by Nethermind. As an open-source solution, the infrastructure is designed to be production-ready and scalable for real-world human interaction.
World Chain functions as an L2 network built with OP Stack technology, securing Ethereum scalability with a focus on democratizing blockchain access globally. The project plans to grow its verified user base to over one billion people, supported by World ID’s locked identity layer, which underpins decentralized applications in finance, stablecoins, and cross-border trade.
Despite regulatory challenges, including scrutiny over data privacy in some countries, World has expanded its presence in the US to six major cities, seizing the opportunity presented by a more favorable regulatory environment. The project underlines its commitment to harmonizing human and AI coexistence through user-centric, innovative blockchain technology.
