BTCC, one of the world's longest-operating cryptocurrency exchanges founded in 2011, has secured its first sports sponsorship by appointing NBA All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. as its global brand ambassador. The Memphis Grizzlies' defensive phenom – a two-time All-Star and 2023 Defensive Player of the Year – will collaborate with BTCC to bridge professional sports and cryptocurrency through joint marketing campaigns and fan engagement initiatives.
The partnership, announced on August 13, 2025, aims to leverage Jackson Jr.'s mainstream appeal to expand BTCC's global user base beyond its current 9.1 million users. Jackson Jr., known for his business acumen and cultural influence in music and fashion, emphasized alignment with BTCC's long-term vision: "I've always believed in doing the work, staying disciplined, and thinking long-term... Partnering with a platform that shares that mindset is a natural step."
BTCC Head of Branding Aaryn Ling highlighted the exchange's 14-year flawless security record and regulatory compliance in the US, Canada, and Europe as key factors in the alliance. The collaboration will feature a trading competition offering Jackson Jr.'s signed merchandise and prize pools, spotlighting BTCC's futures trading (up to 500x leverage) and copy trading services.
