KuCoin, a top global cryptocurrency exchange, has achieved the CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) certification, making it the first major platform to earn this globally recognized benchmark for securing cryptocurrency systems. The announcement was made on October 14, 2025, highlighting a significant milestone in exchange security.

The CCSS certification validates KuCoin's cybersecurity architecture, emphasizing adherence to best practices in key management, authentication, and operational controls. This achievement is part of KuCoin's ongoing $2 billion "Trust Project", a multi-phase initiative focused on enhancing exchange integrity, user protection, and institutional readiness. With this, KuCoin now holds all four major global certifications: CCSS, ISO 27001:2022 for information security, ISO 27701:2025 for data privacy, and SOC 2 Type II for operational integrity.

BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin, stated, "Adding CCSS certification to our suite of global standards highlights KuCoin's leadership in security and user protection. This accomplishment perfectly embodies our brand philosophy — Trust First. Trade Next." The certification process, handled by independent auditors, underscores KuCoin's commitment to mitigating industry-specific risks like theft and fraud, setting a precedent for other exchanges to follow in the professionalization of crypto markets.
