Revolut, a leading fintech platform with 65 million users, has integrated the Polygon blockchain for cryptocurrency services, enabling payments, remittances, and staking across Europe. Since the feature launched in December 2024, Revolut has processed over $690 million in transactions on Polygon, highlighting the network's scalability and low-cost advantages.
The partnership allows users in the UK and European Economic Area to send stablecoins like USDC and USDT, as well as POL—Polygon's native token—with transactions settling in seconds and minimal gas fees. Revolut also offers trading and in-app staking for POL, providing yields of up to 4% APY. Additionally, Revolut Ramp, the fiat-to-crypto on-ramp, now supports Polygon PoS, simplifying fund transfers to Web3 wallets.
Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, emphasized the collaboration's significance, stating, "By making blockchain payments invisible to the end user and integrating them into familiar financial experiences, we’re watching the future of finance take shape." This move strengthens Polygon's position in stablecoin payments, with the network handling over 153 million transactions in the last 30 days and a total stablecoin supply of $3.6 billion.
Revolut's integration, which serves 14 million crypto users, marks a step toward bridging Web2 and Web3 infrastructures, with plans for future expansions in remittances and digital asset management. The partnership underscores growing institutional confidence in Polygon's technology for regulated financial environments.
