VeChain has announced a strategic partnership with Rekord to develop advanced tokenization infrastructure for Real-World Assets (RWA), specifically targeting the European Union's Digital Product Passports (DPPs) under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

The collaboration leverages VeChain's energy-efficient blockchain and Rekord's API-first trust layer to create a tamper-proof system for data streams, enabling enterprises to anchor proofs on the VeChainThor blockchain with minimal integration efforts. This infrastructure will support independent, permanent, and verifiable records for product authentication, supply chain transparency, and sustainability reporting.

Rekord's V1 API is already live in production with full multi-chain support, and the team has successfully executed its first transactions on the VeChain network. This allows joint customers to seamlessly connect existing systems and devices to an enterprise-ready blockchain backend, preparing businesses for ESPR mandates that take effect from 2026.

The partnership aims to transform technological initiatives in Europe, including DPPs that link product data to circular economy goals and compliance requirements. Enterprises can use this system to capture and verify critical product data, ensuring audit-ready compliance without disrupting current workflows.
