Mantle Network, a high-performance Ethereum Layer-2, has released its "2025 RWApped" year-end report, detailing a transformative year of institutional growth and a strategic pivot towards becoming a premier hub for Real-World Assets (RWAs). The report highlights the network's evolution from a scaling solution into a full-stack on-chain financial ecosystem.
In 2025, Mantle achieved several ecosystem all-time highs, signaling its maturation. The network secured a top-30 ranking on major data aggregators CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. Its treasury peaked above $7.9 billion, while the Total Value Locked (TVL) on the network surpassed $2.2 billion. The stablecoin supply within the ecosystem exceeded $750 million, and the global community grew to over 1 million members. Furthermore, Mantle now boasts more than 200 ecosystem partners and decentralized applications (dApps) spanning DeFi, RWAs, infrastructure, and consumer applications.
Two major technological upgrades were central to Mantle's 2025 infrastructure development. First, its integration with EigenLayer established Mantle as the first and largest L2 to partner with the restaking protocol, unlocking modular security and enhanced scalability. Second, through a partnership with Succinct Labs, Mantle became the first OP Stack L2 to launch as a ZK Validity Rollup, claiming the title of the largest ZK rollup by TVL. These upgrades were designed to position Mantle as a high-throughput, institutional-grade settlement layer for compliant RWA activity.
A core driver of growth was the deep, native integration of its native token, $MNT, across the Bybit exchange ecosystem. This integration embedded $MNT into spot markets, institutional trading desks, and VIP liquidity programs, transforming it into a "CeFi-native" asset and creating a bridge between centralized exchange liquidity and on-chain finance. Liquidity for Mantle also expanded globally on platforms including Coinbase, Hyperliquid, Moomoo, Backpack, and Coinhako.
The year was marked by significant community and builder engagement. Mantle hosted its largest global hackathon with over 800 builders and launched the industry's first RWA Scholars Program, selecting six scholars from a pool of 2,000 global submissions. The team also conducted 67 global AMAs and participated in 25 international events, from ETHDenver to TOKEN2049.
Key strategic milestones included the formal beginning of "The Bybit Era" on August 5, 2025, and a major RWA pivot on October 1, 2025. This pivot involved integrations with major RWA-focused entities like Anchorage, Backed/xStocks, Aave, DMZ Finance, Ethena, Agora, and Securitize.
Looking ahead to 2026, Mantle's focus remains on scaling real-world assets on-chain, deepening institutional finance integration, and expanding global distribution and developer adoption.
