Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has officially launched direct AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) bank deposit and withdrawal services for users in the UAE. This marks a significant milestone in the platform's regional expansion and is conducted under the oversight of the UAE's Capital Market Authority (CMA).
The new service enables eligible users operating under Bybit's CMA-licensed framework to seamlessly deposit and withdraw AED directly from any local UAE bank account via secure bank transfers. This integration simplifies the on-ramp and off-ramp process, providing easier access to digital assets on Bybit's trading platform.
The launch is facilitated through a strategic partnership with a local banking provider, supporting real-time AED transfers for verified users. The service is available on both the Bybit website and mobile app. While transfers are typically processed in real-time, some transactions may take up to five business days. To use the service, users must have a personal UAE bank account registered under the same name as their verified Bybit account, a measure designed to ensure regulatory compliance and prevent transaction delays.
Derek Dai, Regional Head of MENA at Bybit, stated, "The introduction of direct bank deposits of AED represents a step forward in making the digital asset class more accessible to UAE users. Bybit commits to the highest standards of regulatory compliance and trust building within the UAE's dynamic digital asset ecosystem." This development positions Bybit to serve the growing demand for compliant crypto services in a market where it ranks No. 1 regionally and No. 5 globally according to the 2025 World Crypto Rankings.
To celebrate the launch, Bybit is running a limited-time promotion from January 28, 2026, until February 28, 2026. The exchange has dedicated a prize pool of up to 750,000 AED and is offering zero fees on AED deposits via the local banking provider for a limited period.
The promotion is open to new users who register under the CMA license and complete Level 1 Identity Verification or Business Verification. Eligible participants can earn up to 200 AED by making an initial deposit of 400 AED via bank transfer, effectively a 50% value boost. Additional rewards exceeding 300 AED are available for completing tasks such as cryptocurrency purchases, trading, and successful referrals. The offer is not available to residents of Dubai or users from Brazil, India, and the United Kingdom.
